Importance of Open Communication

Service Users and their families are encouraged to share their views and opinions at any time. The Home Manager operates an open door policy and will be available for informal discussions and scheduled appointments. The Home Manager and staff will speak with service users on a daily basis and will act upon and listen to their comments, concerns and suggestions.

Scheduled Care Reviews

Care Management reviews are a shared responsibility between the Trust and the Care Centre and care reviews will be scheduled at least annually and more frequently if required and for newly admitted service users. These care reviews present a formal opportunity for discussion the care being delivered. They also provide an opportunity for a formal review and changes to the care plan. An annual survey seeking the views of service users and their representatives will be conducted and the findings acted upon. Outcomes will be shared.

Spiritual Support for Residents

Clergy from different denominations are encouraged to regularly visit the home and will be arranged by the Activity coordinator. Exceptional visits by clergy may be considered on request.
